Each Day One Treats recipe is carefully crafted to include only wholesome, all-natural, and sustainable ingredients that are specially selected to be aromatic & delicious for dogs and actually beneficial to their health. We utilize whole foods like turmeric, blueberries, pomegranates, and of course, our signature blend of upcycled olive water & Extra Virgin California Olive Oil to create a powerful burst of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and heart-healthy fats that will keep your dog licking their lips and living long, flourishing lives.

All of our recipes are completely free of unnecessary and damaging fillers like wheat, corn, soy, and gluten. We never use emulsifiers, artificial flavors, or preservatives of any kind. Our USA-sourced 3X concentrated bone broths and eco-friendly peanut butter are packed with essential proteins and delicious aromas that dogs can't get enough of. And we specially design and bake each dog treat to retain an irresistible crunch that snap easily so your pup can enjoy their exciting mouthfeel at any size. 

Sustainably Upcycled

Most of us are familiar with the magic of olive oil, yet very few people realize how much olive water byproduct is created during the manufacturing process. Olive water creates a bit of a conundrum for olive farmers as it's very difficult and costly to dispose of properly. For every 1 gallon of olive oil made, 3-5 gallons of olive water is created as a result. This byproduct is entirely safe to consume and actually contains a much higher concentration of the polyphenols (antioxidants) that make olive oil the heart-healthy phenomenon that everyone loves. Unfortunately, olive water doesn't have the market value that its oil counterpart does and is consequently treated as a waste product by the farmers and producers who create it.

We first came across this tremendous missed opportunity during a visit to one of the California-based olive oil pressing mills we partner with for our sister company, enfuso. We saw first-hand how olive water was creating cost and sustainability issues that disproportionally impact smaller farms. That's when inspiration struck and we decided that we could repurpose this antioxidant-rich olive water for Day One Treats, creating new efficiencies in the supply-chain while adding a truly sustainable, incredibly healthy, and wholly unique foundation to our products. It really is good for the farms, good for the planet, and amazing for your dog!

That's why we decided to avoid big box retailers and sell all of our treats directly to you! We are 100% family owned and operated and all of our development, sourcing, production, packaging and fulfillment are performed in house. Our ability to manage every single facet of our business enables us to ensure our dog treats are made with the highest quality ingredients, zero cross-contamination, and an endless amount of love and care.

At Day One Treats, we're committed to baking dog treats with integrity and honesty so you and your dog can enjoy worry-free satisfaction. We utilize pastry-grade ovens and make all of our treats in small batches with the same artisan techniques that we've mastered after years of operating our sister olive oil & balsamic company, enfuso.
